Z22 Still Not Working 4 days after Purchase
Pros: Small, and would be easy to use if it works as stated.
Cons: If it doesn't sync up with Outlook, you are out of luck. Full review I bought the Z22 4 days ago based on epinions reviews. First, it would not respond to "taps" on the screen and the reset instructions did not work. After contacting Palm, they gave instructions for a "hard reset", and it took 8 tries to get it to finally start working. I've spent over 18 hours over the last 3 days working with 6 different people at palm.com trying to get the HotSync to work with Outlook. Their last email stated that sometimes it's not possible to know why HotSync doesn't work with Outlook and their advice was to purchase a 3rd party software to see if that would help. I bought the Z22 for a simple and relatively inexpensive way to sync up with Outlook contacts and calendars. I'm considering using the Palm Desktop calendar and contacts software that came with it, but that requires me to keep duplicate contacts and calendars (Outlook & Palm). The Z22 calendar does not have a visual reminder, only a "sound alarm/reminder", which I consider a drawback. At this point I regret spending almost $100 on this item. If Palm can't help me get it to work in the next couple days, I plan to return it. None of the reviews actually mention syncing it up with Outlook, so maybe I was expecting more from it than others. |
